Learn the 34 original Matwork repertoire, experienced, clarified and felt through the neurofascial system.​

This 5 day Matwork experience will teach you the rhyme and reason for the now somewhat historical Pilates Matwork repertoire. Through a unique sense felt fascial application of fascial continuities, you will learn to feel and organise the functionality of the original Pilates exercises.

The updated neuromyofascial research brings us additional insight to the roots and intention of the Pilates Method; it provides us the missing link to our understanding , our movement potential and our inner awareness.

RE-DISCOVERING BASIC PILATES EXERCISES FROM THE FASCIAL PERSPECTIVE
with Fiona McIntosh

This weekend will introduce you to a series of fascial-wise movements that will re-connect the whole body and transform your experience of Pilates' historical repertoire.
​
​During this workshop, Fiona will demonstrate & teach Moving Connections and Pilates' basic exercises and show that by re-distributing load and altering our mindset, we can make profound changes to our movement and to our Pilates Matwork.
​
You will feel sense and experience the phenomena of the fascia, its role and function in the body, and the unique characteristics that makes it a system of stability, a sensory organ, distribution system and biomechanical regulator.
​
This workshop will ultimately demonstrate that by seeing the body through the myo-fascial eye it is an invaluable tool for understanding movement, function, dysfunction, pain referral & strain distribution but ultimately help you fall in love with Pilates Matwork all over again.

TRANSITIONAL STUDIO COURSE 1

This weekend serves as an introduction to working within the Pilates Studio with a fascial perspective. Focusing on the most commonly used apparatus; the Reformer and Wunda Chair, Fiona will be leading you to re-consider the repertoire and how with a change of thought, imagination and desire, you can change the load distribution through the entire body and mind, thereby accessing the deep stabilising tissue and enabling flexibility, strength and purpose of mind, body and spirit.

This weekend serves as continuation of the first now taking the fascial perspective to the more advanced exercises on the Reformer and the Wunda Chair and now visiting the small apparatus including the Spine Corrector.
